Every year thousands of clubbers from all over the world make a beeline to Ibiza to hang out at Europe's biggest and most famous nightspots. Blanco Sol Apartments in the resort of Cala Vadella in the South West of the island is a good place to stay. There are about 30 apartments all overlooking the pool, which has a nearby bar and playground.The island has more than 50 beaches, including some secluded little coves, which are just great for families. There's a small beach just five minutes drive from the apartments, with shallow water, nice sand, and two local restaurants.

Thirty minutes drive north is the island's capital, Ibiza Town. It's a busy Mediterranean port, with a natural harbour and plenty of bars and restaurants. You can look for some shoes and find Pedro, who has been making sandals in Ibiza for more than 30 years. His clients have been known to include the occasional celebrity like John Paul Gaultier, and Naomi Campbell. Pedro makes approximately 300 pairs a year.
